During his inaugural visit as mayor to his former elementary school, Courtney uncovers a troubling situation: the music program that positively impacted his life is at risk of being cut. Val steps in to guide Courtney on navigating the bureaucratic landscape to secure necessary funding, and they devise a plan to outmaneuver Councilman Ed Gunt. Simultaneously, Jermaine takes pride in his new position as communications director, while Dina encourages T.K. to appreciate the importance of his role as director of Constituent Services.
