Dave, a French bulldog, faces challenges due to a spinal deformity. Noel finds out that Dave has a genetic issue affecting his sacral and lumbar vertebrae, along with extra bone growth in the nerve pathways leading to his legs. Simultaneously, a six-year-old terrier has suffered a severe injury, resulting in the loss of a paw from a dog attack. The only available solutions seem to be fitting a bionic replacement for the paw or opting for amputation of the entire leg.
