Corky decides to campaign for freshman class president, teaming up with Lester Fishbein, a bright but unpopular student. Corky has a crush on Rona and is convinced that she feels the same way about him. When Rona playfully suggests he should run, Corky misinterprets her teasing as genuine encouragement, unaware that she’s just joking around with him.
