On April 25, 2005, a commuter train consisting of seven cars derailed and collided with a barrier just prior to reaching Amagasaki Station in Japan. The tragic incident resulted in the loss of 107 lives and left 562 individuals injured, marking one of the most devastating train accidents in the country’s history.
