The team travels to hurricane-ravaged Miami, Florida, on the hunt for a fixer-upper. After dismissing one property as too ambitious for their six-episode timeline, they discover a 1917 Mediterranean Revival-style house that weathered Hurricane Andrew with its structure mostly intact, though it suffers from considerable water damage. The master carpenter connects with contractors Rich Groden and Brian Stamp at a couple of their projects. Meanwhile, the host chats with Tony O'Donnell, the homeowner's son, about the family's vision for restoring and renovating the historic property.
