The four heirs have reconciled with their past and with one another. Following Thomas' passing, Emil is raising Melody at Grønnegaard, alongside his niece Hannah, who is living there with her artistic community. Signe spends most of her time with her boyfriend Aksel, thriving in her ecological farming venture while brainstorming new business ideas. Gro has established a gallery for innovative young artists at the Art Hall, where she and Hannah plan to challenge the traditional art scene. Meanwhile, Frederik has been in the USA, achieving a successful career, but as he prepares to reconnect with Solveig, he wonders if he’s truly ready for the changes that await him at home.
