The Great British Bake Off (2010)
S2E2 Tarts Week
In the second round of The Great British Bake Off, hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, the quest for Britain’s top amateur baker continues with eleven contestants remaining. This week, their pastry-making abilities are put to the test as they take on tarts. Over the span of two days, the bakers must navigate three increasingly challenging tasks while trying to avoid the dreaded soggy bottom. Under the watchful eyes of master baker Paul Hollywood and renowned cookery writer Mary Berry, the bakers kick things off with a signature bake: a personal quiche. They then face the intimidating technical challenge of crafting a classic tarte au citron. To finish, they must create 24 impressive miniature sweet tarts in bulk. The pressure of pastry proves overwhelming for some. Who will earn the title of Star Baker, and who will see their Bake Off journey come to an end?
