Upon landing on D-Day with the French-Canadian Regiment de la Chaudiere, a sniper sustains an eye injury during the fierce fighting in Caen. Despite this setback, he is determined to stay with his unit. In April 1944, Leo Major from the Chaudieres steps up to reach out to the Dutch resistance in Zwolle. Remarkably, he successfully liberates the city while ensuring that no civilians are harmed in the process.
