After sharing coffee, Beatrice encourages Nancy to expand her circle of support. Attending a meeting at Beatrice's home, Nancy discovers a refreshing openness about death, which she finds liberating. As Nancy grows closer to Beatrice, her focus shifts to cancer-related topics, which begins to concern her family. During a dinner with the Steadmans, Melissa questions why Nancy seems increasingly upset, highlighting the strain on her family ties.
