In New York City, Derrick steps in to assist Lenny, a lively three-legged eight-year-old dog whose spirit seems to have faded. His owners, Cassidy and Scott, can see that Lenny isn't the same energetic pup he once was. Determined to help, Derrick pins his hopes on a custom-built full limb prosthetic, believing it could give Lenny a fresh start and a renewed zest for life.
