S4E9 Black and Blue

After responding to a burglary call, Hutch is critically injured when one of the teenage thieves shoots him, landing him in the hospital. Meanwhile, Starsky teams up with the feisty Joan Meredith, a new black police officer, to catch the culprits. As they dig deeper, they uncover a scheme exploiting young people from the ghetto to carry out break-ins, with the stolen goods being sold on the black market.
