Helen and her kids, 15-year-old twins Jared and Simon, along with their sister Mallory, settle into their family home, Spiderwick. Jared stumbles upon a boggart and comes to the stunning realization that magical beings exist! The only person who takes his claims seriously is his great-aunt Lucinda, who urges him to track down the missing pages of her father's guide to magical creatures. She warns him that they must safeguard these pages from the dangerous Ogre, Mulgarath.
