In this episode, we delve into the backstory of how the Virginian arrived at Shiloh Ranch. Initially, he finds work at Miles Peterson’s ranch in Medicine Bow, where he encounters foreman Hugh Stager. Stager schemes to take over the ranch by wooing Peterson's daughter, Maria, and devising a plan to eliminate Peterson while framing Judge Garth for the act. However, Stager underestimates the Virginian, who is forming a strong bond with Judge Garth, complicating Stager’s malicious intentions.
