As Nick and Lulu settle into his apartment, they struggle to separate their romantic relationship from their work environment. Meanwhile, Jake discovers that his parents are planning to divorce, throwing him into turmoil as he uncovers a long-buried secret about his father. On another front, Lulu's father becomes increasingly agitated upon learning about her relationship with Nick, ultimately pressuring her to take the reins of his painting business.
