S1E6 The Longhorns

Oliver Seccombe, representing a consortium of British investors, comes to Centennial with capital to establish a cattle ranch. He enlists John Skimmerhorn to assemble a crew and initiate a significant cattle drive to the Venneford, the largest ranch in the West. Skimmerhorn recruits R.J. Poteet, a skilled trail boss, who selects a mix of experienced drovers and eager young trail hands to join the venture.
