Trixie informs Alice that she and Ed are upgrading to a new television, prompting a wave of envy from Alice. Trixie suggests that Alice should use her usual charm on Ralph to win him over. However, Ralph quickly senses something is off with Alice’s behavior. When he discovers her motivation, he outright refuses to buy a new TV. As Alice remains persistent about the issue, Ralph realizes he can't ignore it any longer. In the meantime, he and Norton devise a plan to combine their finances to purchase a single set that they can both enjoy.
