Mork grapples with the complexities of happiness and solitude as he decides to use his time machine. He ages himself in order to provide companionship for Mindy's grandmother, who is struggling with the loss of her friends. Mork hopes that by becoming a friend to her, he can ease her loneliness and bring some joy back into her life.
