Stefaan takes the stand as a key witness regarding the tragic deaths of his ex-lover Brechtje and their daughter Rose. The defense works hard to cast doubt on his account. The weight of the case begins to affect the jurors mentally. Arnold grows increasingly disillusioned, believing that everything around him is in chaos. Meanwhile, Delphine struggles to focus, as her home life continues to deteriorate. Noël, noticing her distress, discusses the situation with a journalist in return for money.
