After breaking free from the Phantom Zone, Raya arrives in Smallville to see Clark. As they spend time together, their bond deepens, and Raya shares her knowledge on how to fix the Fortress of Solitude. However, their reunion takes a dark turn when Baern, another escapee from the Zone, comes looking for vengeance against both Clark and Raya for his past experiences in captivity.
