S1E5 No Need to Know

After completing a case, Magnum discovers that Higgins' former Army superior is residing at the Masters estate, heavily guarded until the trial of the I.R.A. members he apprehended. Two covert intelligence operatives enlist Magnum's services to safeguard the brigadier and thwart assassins intent on eliminating him before the trial begins. However, the agents' strict "need to know" protocol creates additional challenges for Magnum, complicating the mission further.
