Nick takes time off to grieve while Sandra heads off on her vacation. A jittery student, anxious about his exams, triggers a false fire alarm. Hallam scolds the students about the foolishness and expense of such hoaxes. Meanwhile, Mickey arrives at the fire station looking for Kevin but ends up attacking Maggie to snatch her purse. DO Quinn, a friend of Nick’s, reaches out to console him after Ariadne's passing. Kevin becomes suspicious of Mickey’s involvement in Maggie’s attack and confronts him violently. Hallam meets Jenny, an attractive student eager to interview him about the fire brigade. Sicknote buys a tandem bike, hoping it will help him bond with Jean following her car accident, but she isn’t thrilled. As Nick attends Ariadne's funeral, her parents question his plans for their grandchild, Costas. Blue Watch responds to a massive warehouse fire, where Billy loses his footing and falls into a large vat of corrosive material.
