On Sulphur Creek, young crew leader Karl finds himself without a sluice machine, which means there's no gold to be found. His father, Marty, a well-regarded self-made miner, crafts a brand-new sluice from the ground up. As Karl waits for the new equipment, he faces the challenge of keeping his crew focused and meeting his father's lofty standards. Meanwhile, Big Al experiments with innovative strategies and equipment on a new claim, but he struggles to keep his machines operational.
