Matlock takes on the case of Homer Fleming, a seasoned clown accused of murdering his longtime partner, Simon. To gather more information, he sends Conrad to infiltrate the circus as a roustabout. As Matlock delves deeper, he discovers that many people had strong motives for disliking Simon Le Simple.
