Fifteen-year-old Eli Shane seems like an ordinary kid from the suburbs, but he carries a unique legacy: he hails from a family of Shanes, all of whom have ventured below the surface to safeguard Slugterra and its remarkable slugs. Now it’s Eli’s turn to step into that role—whether he feels prepared or not! However, the slugslinging tournament he joins to demonstrate his readiness quickly reveals that he’s not quite up to the challenge. When the infamous Dr. Blakk hears about this new Shane, he remains unconcerned… for the time being.
