During the will reading of Wrightson, Steed's late batman, his family is taken aback to learn that his estate is immensely valuable. Determined to uncover the source of a draughtsman's unexpected wealth, Steed and Cathy embark on an investigation to determine how someone earning twenty pounds a week could amass such a fortune, and whether it was obtained through legitimate means.
