Jed decides to throw a party to lift Granny's spirits and invites the Drysdales to join in the fun. Mr. Drysdale's employer expresses interest in attending, eager to meet what he perceives as a refined family. When the boss arrives, he is delighted by what he thinks is an authentic "Hillbilly Party" crafted just for him.
