Nash finds himself at odds with Deputy Chief Max Pettit, who has put Cassidy in a perilous undercover operation targeting synthetic diamond smugglers and a lethal assassin linked to the South African diamond cartel. Meanwhile, Joe attempts to withdraw from the house purchase, while Cassidy teams up with her new partner, Rachel McCabe, as they join the Special Investigations Unit.
