Rick Stein's Mediterranean Escapes (2007)
S1E1 Corsica and Sardinia
Rick Stein's Mediterranean adventure kicked off in Marseille, where his previous series wrapped up. He took a ferry to Bastia, the historic capital of Corsica, and was treated to a traditional Corsican banquet. The meal featured pulenda, a chestnut flour polenta, alongside figatellu, a bold-flavored local sausage crafted from offal and cheek of the Corsican black pig. Continuing his journey, Rick sailed from Bonifacio across the choppy straits to Sardinia, where he enjoyed a delectable spaghetti dish enriched with cuttlefish ink and a hearty tomato sauce.
