Alan and Elaine attend couples therapy, where their counselor, Robin Givens, proposes they each organize a surprise date for one another. Meanwhile, David decides to move in with Amy, feeling overwhelmed by the constant presence of his parents in the condo. However, as time passes, Amy starts to feel uneasy with David living with her.
