Felix Staples (John Cameron Mitchell) shakes things up at the firm when he arrives with a lawsuit targeting ChumHum, accompanied by a well-known figure, Solomon Waltzer (Alan Alda), as his attorney. At home, Diane discovers an enigmatic note, prompting Kurt to wonder about her recent activities. In a separate storyline, actor Gary Carr follows Lucca to prepare for his role as a lawyer in an upcoming project.
