S1E1 The Journey Begins

Title: A New Beginning Plot: When Sara Stanley, a privileged young girl, is sent to live with her estranged relatives on Prince Edward Island due to her father's embezzlement charges, she struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. Life in Avonlea proves difficult, especially as she tries to connect with her mother's family. Initially, Sara feels resentment towards her situation. Her aunt, Hetty King, disapproves of Sara’s Nanny Louisa and sends her back to Montreal. Consequently, Sara moves in with her aunts Hetty and Olivia at Rose Cottage.
