When Detective Marty Eels arrives at a crime scene with all the information already in hand, Monk begins to wonder if he has finally encountered someone who can rival his skills, or if Eels is bending the rules to get ahead. As Monk investigates further, he must unravel the mystery behind Eels' uncanny knowledge and determine the truth before it compromises his own methods.
