To assist Jimmy McGill, a broke young man who got cheated in a land transaction, Daniel proposes giving him a plot of land that he can pay for gradually. Meanwhile, Charity, the daughter of Amos Brown, finds herself drawn to Jimmy despite being engaged to someone else. In response, Brown prohibits her from seeing him and hastens her wedding to a local suitor.
