Rose grows increasingly worried about the threat of nuclear war when her cadet troop sketches grim visions of the future. Motivated by their fears, she decides to reach out and write letters to both Gorbachev and Reagan. To her surprise, she receives a reply, revealing that Gorbachev is interested in meeting with her.
