Facing potential funding cuts from the school board, Janine and Gregory step in to assist Ava with her presentation for the Superintendent. Their efforts take an unexpected turn when an unforeseen challenge arises for Ava. Meanwhile, Barbara unintentionally hurts Melissa's feelings by dismissing her suggestion about using blackmail, leading to tension between the two.
