In Sudan, Carter and his partner fight to provide aid to a woman who has been assaulted by a group of militants. Meanwhile, in the emergency room, Clemente seeks to resume his duties after a recent shooting, but Kovac denies his request. On another front, Neela and Pratt find themselves at odds over a professional issue, while K.J.'s father unexpectedly reappears in the ER, adding to the tension of the day.
