During the day, Chance provides care to those affected by violent crime at the Victims of Violent Crime Unit. When night falls, he and D take justice into their own hands, targeting the perpetrators. Meanwhile, Detective Hynes coerces Chance into leveraging his expertise to hunt down the suspected serial killer, Ryan Winter.
