Once Mitch is exonerated in the murder of Martin Moxon and released from prison, he quickly becomes embroiled in a new legal battle against a major pharmaceutical firm. In a brief visit to the jail, he attempts to speak with Sarah Holt, but she remains tight-lipped about his inquiries. Meanwhile, Ray stumbles upon a lead regarding Mitch's stalker linked to Moxon's death, while Tammy and Abby delve into a puzzling list that Moxon had left behind.
