In this episode, the Top 22 home cooks in America tackle their inaugural Mystery Box Challenge. Each contestant is provided with 20 essential ingredients commonly found in households and is challenged to create a dish that would impress the judges if they were dining at their homes. The contestant who excels in this challenge will earn a valuable advantage in the season's first pressure test, where they must craft their own interpretation of a classic apple pie.
