Diana St. Tropez brings some promising news to the team at "The Breakdown": Fenton Pelt has decided to withdraw his lawsuit if Chuck Pierce issues a public apology and steps down from journalism for good. Initially crushed, Chuck is ready to comply, but Portia prompts him to remember his passion for journalism. As Chuck prepares for his last broadcast, Katie persuades Carol to join forces for one final assignment. Together, they hurry to track down a key individual in New Jersey who could counter Fenton Pelt’s accusations and rescue the show from cancellation.
