When Sam, a family man from London facing a personal crisis, finds a distressed young girl in the woods, he decides to take her back to Osea Island, where the residents are gearing up for a strange annual festival steeped in the island's history. As he interacts with the enigmatic locals, Sam's anxiety about getting back to the mainland to make a crucial phone call intensifies, but he quickly discovers that leaving the island is not as simple as he hoped.
