When Holly's father takes a job in Japan, the lively 16-year-old is determined to stay behind, opting to move in with her more conventional sister, Valerie, in New York City. However, Holly's efforts to be the ideal roommate quickly spiral out of control after she misunderstands a comment about Feng Shui and reorganizes their apartment. Things take a turn for the worse when Holly inadvertently jeopardizes Valerie’s position at a marketing firm by causing chaos during a promotional event featuring skateboard legend Tony Hawk.
