Archie and Murray bring in Veronica Rooney, a short-order cook played by Anne Meara, to help out in the diner. However, Veronica has a condition: her gay nephew must also be hired as a waiter. This creates tension for Archie, who has deeply held beliefs about homosexuality that complicate the situation.
