Mira, a young girl, volunteers to use her Abra to teleport Ash, Dawn, and Brock to Hearthome City. However, the teleportation lands them by a lake instead. Mira reveals that she needs assistance in retrieving her Sandshrew, which is stuck underwater and is being fiercely protected by an aggressive Gyarados.
