In a desperate move to protect his career, a publisher enlists the help of a Vietnam War veteran to eliminate his top author before the writer can jump ship to a rival company. The plan is to create an alibi while ensuring that the author’s departure doesn’t threaten his own success. As the veteran carries out the mission, tensions rise, leading to unexpected complications that put both their lives at risk.
