Though the crown remains intact, the atmosphere at court is fraught with tension. Elizabeth grapples with profound heartache as she mourns the loss of loved ones. Meanwhile, Margaret Beaufort schemes to arrange a strategic marriage to secure Henry's return from exile, but she may have underestimated Lord Stanley. Anne's union has branded her a traitor, leading to her being placed under George's protection.
