As tax season arrives, the accountant reviews the finances and discovers that Fred and Lamont will owe money to the IRS. After explaining the predicament, Lamont decides to take action by getting a job at a clothing store to boost their income. Meanwhile, Fred worries that this could signal the downfall of Sanford & Son Salvage.
