On Christmas Eve, Col. MacKenzie finds herself in a car accident while heading home. As she lies unconscious, she experiences a series of flashbacks and contemplative conversations with a therapist from the base. During this time, she confronts various personal struggles, including her challenges with infertility, sleeplessness, feelings of isolation, and her complicated relationships with Webb and Harm.
