Jim Hardie is dispatched to guarantee a successful trial for Walt Corbin, who is accused of murdering a 20-year-old Wells Fargo worker. Corbin's gang is intimidating the two farmers set to testify, attempting to silence them. One farmer is murdered, leaving the other in a state of uncertainty about whether to go through with his testimony.
