In their inaugural case, the playful Barker puts Dove through the wringer as they pose as undercover operatives to dismantle a weapons smuggling operation. Barker skillfully orchestrates scenarios to challenge Dove’s skills, urging him to fully embrace the personas they adopt. While Dove grows fond of his partner, the pressure of their dangerous assignment weighs heavily on him, revealing the difficulty of maintaining personal relationships outside their work. The situation escalates when an FBI Internal Affairs team suspects Barker of disloyalty, and they approach Dove to act as a double-agent in their investigation against his mentor.
